  • 200 g Bergkäse (Alpine cheese)

  • 660 ml Milk

  • 70 g butter

  • 1 piece cauliflower

  • 100 g flour

  • 1 pinch nutmeg (ground)

  • 1 pinch pepper (ground)

Method

  • Prepare the cauliflower

    Remove the leaves and stalk from the cauliflower and cut it into walnut-sized pieces.

  • Make the sauce

    Melt the butter in a pan over a medium heat. Add the flour and sauté.

    Pour the milk gradually into the roux and bring to the boil, stirring quickly.

    Add the spices and stir until smooth.

  • Pour over cauliflower

    Place the cauliflower in a baking dish and pour the sauce evenly over it.

    Grate the mountain cheese and sprinkle over the cauliflower.

    Start the "Cauliflower au gratin" programme and follow the procedure.

  • Put the food in the oven
