Automatic programme “Muffins”


Prepare the batter

Weigh out and prepare all of the ingredients. Put the soft butter, the sugar and the vanilla sugar in the mixing bowl of your stand mixer and beat at medium speed. Next, add the milk and eggs and continue to beat at medium speed. Add the flour, salt and baking powder to the mixture and continue to beat briefly. Peel a ripe banana, cut it into large chunks and add to the mixture while beating. Continue stirring once again, without overbeating the batter. Weigh out the chocolate, chop it into small pieces, add them to the mixture and stir them in.


Chocolate muffin version

To make a chocolate muffin version, start by putting the chocolate in a bowl and melting it in the BORA X BO using the special programme “Melt chocolate”. Then prepare the muffin batter as described above, adding the cocoa powder and melted chocolate at the end. Mix all the ingredients together once again at medium speed for 30 seconds.            


Bake the muffins

Prepare 12 paper cases and put them in a muffin tin. Put the batter in a piping bag and fill around 2/3 of each paper case with the mixture (approx. 70 g per case, or approx. 80 g for the chocolate muffin version). Alternatively, spoon the batter into the paper cases using two tablespoons.
Start the “Muffins” automatic programme and follow the programme sequence. Place the muffin tin on the oven rack. Once the muffins are baked, leave them to cool for around 30 minutes.


Pro tip

To vary the recipe, other ingredients such as chocolate, dried fruit or peanut butter can be added to the batter. The muffins can be topped with butter cream or other glazes, or served as cupcakes. When making cupcakes, do not put as much batter in the baking tin.

For the main batter

  • 115 g butter (soft)                        
  • 190 g sugar                      
  • ½ tsp vanilla sugar                        
  • 40 ml milk                        
  • 3 eggs (size M)                
  • 230 g wheat flour (type 550)                    
  • 1 pinch of salt                 
  • ½ tsp baking powder                   
  • 1 ripe banana                  
  • 115 g chocolate (of your choice)                            

Chocolate muffin version

  • 30 g cocoa powder                       
  • 115 g dark chocolate (melted)
