BORA receives the German Design Award 2016 from the German Design Council

Raubling
. BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH, a manufacturer of innovative cooktop extractors, has been  presented with German Design Award 2016, a prestigious international award from the German Design Council. The expert judging panel named the BORA Basic with surface induction winner in the kitchen category as a result of its outstanding design quality. The award, which identifies and celebrates unique design trends, is regarded as one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world and is highly respected in specialist circles and beyond.

The outstanding performance of BORA Basic, the newest addition to the Bavarian company’s range, in the international product and design arena was therefore once again confirmed. Only launched on the market in 2013, the cooktop extractor system received several prestigious awards within the shortest of times.

BORA Basic – the product

The award-winning premium product is a compact system comprising a cooktop with an integrated extractor in the centre and offers demanding amateur chefs maximum performance with timeless elegance: surface induction, innovative touch-operated round slider technology and a premium-quality, stainless steel air inlet nozzle are all features of the compact and user-friendly all-in-one system. The induction cooktop with a width of 83 cm enables users to simultaneously cook with four large pots and pans without any area restrictions. BORA Basic can be installed in any kitchen in just a matter of minutes, is available as an exhaust air or recirculating air model and offers optimum properties with regard to cleaning and maintenance: the moving parts of the cooktop extractor can be easily dismantled.
