Preparations

Weigh and prepare all ingredients. Chop up dark chocolate and add to a bowl along with the finely diced butter. Warm up the chocolate mixture either over a bain-marie, or melt in the BORA X BO with the special programme “Melt chocolate” at 48° for approx. 30 minutes. Briefly stir the ingredients after 15 min. After the programme is completed, beat the mixture smooth.

 

Prepare the dough

Put the eggs, vanilla sugar, salt and cane sugar in another bowl and cream with the mixing device. Slowly add the chocolate-butter mixture. Then add the flour and work into a smooth mass. Optionally add walnuts if desired and mix briefly.

                              

Bake the brownies

Spread butter in a deep universal tray and sprinkle flour over. Fill the tray with dough and smooth down. Start the automatic programme “Brownies” and allow the oven to preheat. Then place the baking dish into the BORA X BO and bake the brownies.        

 

Serve the brownies

Remove brownies from the oven and leave to cool. In the meantime, lightly heat the whipped cream and stir in the peanut butter. Spread the resulting mass evenly over the brownies. Roughly chop the chocolate for the topping and spread over everything together with the peanuts. Cut the brownie with a knife into uniform pieces.

 

Pro tip

As variations on the recipe, additional ingredients can be added during baking and different glazes can be used. Brownies are perfect for keeping and using at a later date. Ideally heat up them in the BORA X BO or the BORA multi-drawer.

For the dough  

  • 375 g dark chocolate coating (70% chocolate content)                 
  • 675 g butter                     
  • 70 g vanilla sugar                            
  • 10 eggs (size M)                              
  • 750 g cane sugar                            
  • 8 g salt                
  • 450 g wheat flour (type 550)                                                                    
  • walnuts if desired (optional)                     

As a topping     

  • 200 g peanut butter                      
  • 100 g whipped cream                   
  • 150 g peanuts (roasted & salted)                            
  • 150 g dark chocolate (70% chocolate content)
