BORA Professional – the product
BORA Professional is a premium product and the perfect solution for demanding chefs: an efficient yet elegant cooktop extractor, which can be stylishly integrated into customised kitchen designs without being overly dominant. For ambitious amateur chefs, the extractor is an indispensable masterpiece that has set standards since 2007: the generously sized cooktop with a depth of 54 cm offers enough space for two large pots or pans to be placed behind one another. Whether surface induction, induction, a HiLight cooktop with or without a roaster, a Hyper or gas cooktop, a wok cooktop or a Tepan stainless steel grill: BORA Professional offers endless design possibilities as all systems can be freely combined and are available as recirculating or exhaust air models. The solid, stainless steel rotary knobs make a clear statement with an eye-catching appearance and excellent user-friendliness. They offer functions that would usually only be expected in large-scale catering facilities.
The award organisers: German Design Council
The German Design Council, which introduced the new ‘Iconic Awards’ competition, was established as a foundation in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag. It supports the business sector in all design-related matters and is world’s leading centre of expertise for communication within the field of design. The 200 or so foundation members include designers, companies, associations and institutions for whom design is an important economic and cultural factor as well as an unmistakeable USP. The new award supersedes the former Interior Innovation Award as a logical development of this and aims to further strengthen a successful format and make it future proof.
