Revolution Tour: BORA in the air in Düsseldorf during the Tour de France
BORA in the air
The Tour de France and the BORA Revolution Tour both coincided in Düsseldorf. The day before the launch of the world’s biggest cycling event, we held an extra-special edition of BORA in the air. Steffen Radochla, sports director of the German professional cycling team, BORA - hansgrohe, offered selected cycling fans (who had applied to take part via Facebook) a glimpse behind the scenes of the WorldTour team comprising the current world champion, Peter Sagan, and the German road champion, Marcus Burghardt. The guests, who were prominently suspended 30 metres above the Rheinknie Bridge, were equally delighted with their first-hand experience of Cycling Insights as with the BORA systems that BORA chef Werner Raith used to whip up a menu inspired by the cycling team’s chef: roast duck with sweet potato & hummus followed by pancakes and apricots.
Two ‘Cycling Insights in the air’ sessions were held. During the other four sessions, the BORA systems were once again given the guests’ full attention. In total, we lifted the bodies and spirits of around 135 people. The feedback was overwhelming, as was the kudos given to the BORA team
