The high-end BORA Professional 3.0 cooktop extractor system, featuring modular cooktops, is now also available with a matt finish. This version of the extra-large cooktop is characterised by a soft-touch finish and a crystal-clear menu display, blending in with great visual elegance against a dark worktop. The functional benefits of the matt finish: cookware no longer slips, and signs of wear such as scratches, smudges and fingerprints are well concealed. Many recognise the classic control knobs of the BORA Professional 3.0 as a much-loved detail on the kitchen front, which often plays a role in the purchasing decision. BORA has taken this concept an innovative step further.
Reduced reflection and a soft touch – perfect for modern kitchen designs
In 2020, BORA launched the third iteration of its Professional range – BORA Professional 3.0 – a powerful modular system that allows various hobs, from induction to gas hobs or Tepan stainless steel grills, to be combined with an effective cooktop extractor system. As the flagship of the BORA cooktop extractor systems, it features particularly large cooktops with a depth of 540 mm. The matt version of the glass-ceramic cooktop is now available in combination with the Tepan stainless steel grill or with an additional induction hob.
The design highlights of the BORA Professional 3.0 cooktop extractor system are the understated stainless steel control knobs, finely engineered with a black glass front and the sensitive touch interface with a white LED display. All functions are activated intuitively by turning the knobs and touching the central glass surface. Any colour options needed? The cooktop extractor, situated between the modular hobs and the control knobs, is available in either All Black or stainless steel.
BORA’s technical innovation is particularly evident in the downdraft system: the extractor’s performance adjusts automatically to suit the current cooking process; the extractor unit and the adjacent hobs communicate with one another. Thanks to the low-noise fan, the extractor remains whisper-quiet even at high power settings. In off mode, the elegant system is completely closed. When the fan comes into operation, the cover flap opens automatically; when closing, integrated sensors prevent any objects from becoming trapped. Those parts which are constantly exposed to cooking vapours, such as the stainless steel filter, can be easily removed via the wide, easily accessible inlet opening and cleaned in the dishwasher.
Extractor system with one, three or more modular cooktops
Although most households tend to opt for a two-module BORA Professional 3.0 system for reasons of space, chefs and guests are always impressed by the arrangement of multiple cooktops in prestigious kitchens. Three, four or more modules, always alternating with an extractor hood.
All BORA Professional 3.0 hobs share top performance and precise temperature control. For example, the Tepan stainless steel grill can be heated to 250 degrees within five minutes. Three keep-warm settings with constant temperature control for melting, keeping food warm and simmering help ensure the precise preparation of delicate dishes. Another practical feature: the bridge function combines two cooking zones to maximise the cooking area when using a roasting pan or grill pan.
