A clean stainless steel grease filter is essential for your BORA cooktop extractor system to work perfectly. So that you can benefit from top performance at all times, it is important to clean the filter regularly.
The air inlet nozzle, grease filter and filter tray should be cleaned every time you cook greasy foods or at least once a week. All removable parts can be taken out in a few simple steps and cleaned in the dishwasher. Use a programme with a maximum temperature of 65 °C and ensure that the parts are dry before reinstalling them.
An odour filter (activated charcoal filter) will only be fitted with the stainless steel grease filter if the cooktop extractor is used in recirculation mode.
Activated charcoal filters trap unpleasant cooking odours. As they have a limited capacity, the filter needs to be changed regularly – as soon as the activated charcoal is saturated and no more odours can be filtered through.
The frequency of the filter change depends on your BORA product and the corresponding activated charcoal filter. The appliance tells you when the filter needs changing (filter service display).
The BORA flexible air purification box (ULBF) is replaced every 300 operating hours.
Switch the cooktop extractor off.
Open the service access panel on your appliance.
Release the mounting brackets or Velcro fastener on the appliance.
Disconnect the appliance from the duct connection.
Clean the duct connection with a soft cloth and detergent or water.
Attach the new filter to the duct piece. When doing so, ensure that the seal stays in place.
Position the new filter and secure it with the mounting brackets, just like the old air filter.
Check that the duct connections are airtight and firmly in place and that the appliance is working properly. To do that, switch the cooktop extractor on. If necessary, consult the operating instructions of your BORA product.
If the cooktop extractor is working correctly, close the service access panel and dispose of the used filter accordingly.
On the BORA air purification box 3 (ULB3X), the activated charcoal filter cartridges (ULB3AS) need replacing every 600 operating hours, more or less.
Switch the cooktop extractor off.
Open the service access panel to access your filter.
Release the activated charcoal cartridges by turning them to the left. Once released, carefully take the activated charcoal cartridges out.
Fit the new activated charcoal cartridges one by one.
(This is only necessary if the previous model ULB3 was installed): open the cover flap on the left or right-hand side.
(This is only necessary if the previous model ULB3 was installed): Remove the used fine filter. Please note: in the new model – ULB3X – a fine filter is no longer required.
Check that all duct connections are airtight and firmly in place and that the appliance is working properly. To do that, switch the cooktop extractor on. If necessary, consult the operating instructions of your BORA product.
If the cooktop extractor is working correctly, close the service access panel and dispose of the used filters accordingly.
