Automatic programme “Frikadellen”

Prepare the ingredients

Weigh out and prepare all of the ingredients. Soak the bread rolls in lukewarm milk.     
Peel the onion and garlic. Finely dice the onion and finely chop the garlic or crush it with a garlic press. Wash and dry the parsley and finely chop it. Sauté the onion and garlic in some sunflower oil in a frying pan until translucent, then briefly heat up the pan to a high heat and add the chopped parsley.

 

Prepare the patties

Put the onion mixture in a bowl together with the remaining ingredients and mix well. Divide the mince mixture into around eight even-sized pieces, shape them into balls with your hands then flatten them slightly. There shouldn’t be any cracks around the edges. Spread out the patties on the universal tray.
Start the “Frikadellen” automatic programme and follow the programme sequence.    

 

Pro tip

To shape the patties more easily, wet your hands with cold water. To vary the recipe, other ingredients like feta and dried tomatoes can be used as a filling.

INGREDIENTS FOR 8 PIECES:

  • 60 g bread rolls (stale, e.g. from previous day)
  • 120 ml milk (lukewarm)
  • 100 g Spanish onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3-5 sprigs flat parsley
  • 10 ml sunflower oil
  • 500 g minced beef (half pork/half beef)               
  • 2 eggs (size M)
  • 1 tbsp medium-hot mustard                                    
  • 0.5 tsp marjoram (dried)             
  • 2 g white pepper                           
  • 7 g salt
