A dream kitchen in Berkshire with a large cooking island and the BORA Classic

Elegant, sleek and communicative – this were the specifications for this dream kitchen in Berkshire, near London. The kitchen designers at Sheraton Interiors impressively implemented the client’s wishes and even provided the added surprises of a unique worktop and a large BORA Classic – for a guaranteed wow factor!

Traditional and modern

A traditional exterior comes together with a sleek, elegant interior. This home in Berkshire, near London, knows how to impress on many levels. As is often the case in southern England, the building has a brick façade but the modern, black window frames break from the traditional image of an English manor house and give it a modern look. The large muntin windows look out onto the patio area and provide plenty of natural light.

Inside the house, the kitchen specialists from Sheraton Interiors followed a concept that focused on modernity and sleek elegance. The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area features a large cooking island with cushioned, golden-legged bar stools for the desired touch of elegance.

Quality worktops and an effective cooktop extractor system

It is without a doubt that the most eye-catching feature in this ensemble is the Paonazzo Biondo worktop. This is a type of sintered stone, i.e. stone produced under high pressure, made from fine-grained, ceramic materials. Heated and compressed, these imitate the often highly expensive material marble.

One thing was clear for the kitchen designers: this stone needed to be paired with sleek kitchen fronts – here in matt black. The ornamental trims with which these are adorned can be interpreted as a homage to English country house style. The tall unit primarily comprises concealed shelves but also a number of open ones. These provide additional worktop space and offer somewhere to display beautiful porcelain ornaments or jars of dried food.

The BORA Classic installed in the cooking island also provides a clear view and enables people to chat and communicate without obstruction. This is because the BORA cooktop extractor system does away with the need for a bulky extractor hood in the middle of the room while also effectively eliminating annoying odours. The BORA Classic selected is a three-part combi version comprising two induction cooktops and a Tepan stainless steel grill. This offers the clients plenty of space to cook together in the evenings and for culinary gatherings.
