BORA created a cookbook featuring professional cyclists

TOUR DE CUISINE – In association with Teubner Verlag, BORA has created a cookbook featuring leading professional cyclists’ favourite recipes.

Raubling. BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH, manufacturer of innovative vapour extraction systems, is accompanying its commitment as title sponsor in the field of international cycling with the publication of a book containing the favourite recipes of leading professional cyclists.

The idea for the book came from the question that many people have asked Willi Bruckbauer, founder and owner of the Raubling-based company, since he started actively supporting cycling with his own Pro Continental Team ‘BORA-Argon 18’: “What do professional cyclists actually eat?”

The result is a valuable and unique book, which not only presents readers with 200 pages of recipes, but also provides insight into the world of cycling. 53 cyclists from 12 countries reveal their culinary preferences as well as interesting and private aspects of their own lives and their sporting achievements and successes. Culinary aficionados and cycling fans alike will be swept away by stunning food photos and up-close shots of the athletes – both during the tour and while cooking and dining together at BORA.

This premium-quality book was created in cooperation with its publisher Teubner Verlag. It will be available to purchase from selected German kitchen and bike retailers from early December, as well as from Amazon (ISBN-13: 978-3-833845383) at a cost of EUR 39.90. International versions will be available for sale in six languages.

About the company:

Since 2007, BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH, located in Raubling, Upper Bavaria, has been successfully developing and distributing cooktop extractor systems, which – thanks to a patented technology – draw off cooking vapours in a downward direction. Meanwhile, the innovative product lines BORA Basic, BORA Classic and BORA Professional – exclusively downdraft systems – are distributed in 18 European countries. In 2012, the company expanded into Australia and New Zealand. Already in 2009 the company was awarded within the framework of the innovation contest “365 Orte im Land der Idee”, winning the “Deutsche Gründerpreis” in the category “StartUp” in 2010, as well as the “red dot award” in 2012, the Plus X Award in 2013 and the Interior Innovation Award – Winner 2015.
