Activated charcoal filters for appliances in the BORA Pure range

To enjoy the full cooking experience in kitchens with a recirculation system, it is essential to use and regularly replace high-performance activated charcoal filters.

Research has revealed that imitation products, mostly of poor quality, are being offered on the market alongside original BORA activated charcoal filters. We care about providing you with an exceptional cooking experience. To explore the quality standard of imitation products, tests were carried out by an independent testing institute. The results showed that when purchasing most imitation products, you must be prepared to make a significant compromise on performance.

In light of these tests, we must mention the following risks of using imitation activated charcoal filters:

  • Risk of insufficient extraction performance and a high noise level caused by the high resistance (pressure loss) of the filter
  • Risk of inadequate odour elimination through the use of inferior activated charcoal
  • Risk of a poor fit, meaning the filter leaks and only partly filters odours
  • Risk of a considerably lower life span of the activated charcoal filter

It was found that only the original BORA activated charcoal filter achieved the required odour elimination and cooktop extraction performance.

Why do I need to replace my BORA activated charcoal filter?

Activated charcoal filters trap unpleasant cooking odours, but their absorbency is limited. Once the activated charcoal has been saturated, no further odours can be filtered out. Periodic filter changes are therefore required.

You can easily order new BORA activated charcoal filters for your BORA product in our BORA online shop.

How often does the BORA activated charcoal filter need to be replaced?

It depends on your BORA product and the activated charcoal filter that goes with it. The Pure activated charcoal filter (PUAKF) is suitable for the whole Pure range, including BORA X Pure, BORA M Pure, BORA Pure and BORA S Pure. The Pure activated charcoal filter must be replaced after 150 operating hours.

When it comes to replacing your filter, all BORA products have one thing in common: an in-built function, which automatically counts down the operating hours. As soon as it lights up, you must change the activated charcoal filter.
Appliances in the Pure range show an “F” symbol in the fan’s display area when it is time to replace the filter.
