BORA Basic: cooktop and cooktop extractor as a compact system for any kitchen

Raubling. BORA Basic, a compact system from the Bavarian manufacturer of innovative cooktop extractors, combines all the benefits of the established products: cooking in the fresh air without an annoying hood and featuring space-saving technology, extremely low noise and high-quality materials, all without compromising on function or design.

The multi-award-winning BORA Basic is available in three versions: as a Hyper glass ceramic cooktop, induction cooktop or surface induction cooktop, each as a recirculation or exhaust air solution. Thanks to a cleanrate of 100%, the centrally positioned cooktop extractor effectively draws vapours and odours away where they are created: straight from the pot or pan.

Two fans within the cooktop work almost silently and in parallel. BORA Basic can be easily installed in any kitchen and is instantly ready for use, looks great and is easy to operate. The moving parts of the cooktop extractor can be easily dismantled, enabling quick and easy cleaning. The air inlet nozzle and stainless steel grease filter are even dishwasher safe. An indicator on the central touchscreen display notifies users if the activated charcoal filter in the recirculating air system needs to be changed.

Thanks to new technology, the radiant heating element (HiLight) with 3,000 watts, has far more power and achieves optimum cooking results far quicker than conventional radiant heating elements: The heating time is reduced by 30 percent. With a Hyper level, automatic heat-up function and heat retention function, the system enables optimally tailored heating performance. The extensive technical features include a timer function, residual heat display, touch controls, automatic after-run and a filter service display.

BORA Basic All Black edition

BORA Basic is also available in an All Black edition. The stylish, understated look is underpinned by the trendy air inlet ring. Its premium-quality stainless steel elements have been further refined with a special coating, which is also used in the fields of medicine and engine technology. In addition to creating a timelessly elegant black design, the additional surface treatment also improves the hardness as well as the wear and scratch resistance.

About the company:

Since 2007, BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH, headquartered in Raubling, Upper Bavaria, has successfully developed and sold cooktop extractor systems that draw vapours downwards thanks to the use of patented technology. The innovative BORA Professional, BORA Classic, BORA X Pure, BORA Pure and BORA Basic product ranges are sold in 60 countries worldwide.

BORA founder Willi Bruckbauer has a vision: the end of the extractor hood. The patent he developed has multiple advantages: the premium-quality systems are more effective than conventional hoods, extremely quiet, energy efficient and easy to clean. They enable maximum design freedom for kitchens and a clear view.
