BORA opens newly constructed head office

Raubling. BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH’s new premises in Raubling, Bavaria, use an innovative architectural concept. In constructing the new head office, founder and owner Willi Bruckbauer takes heed of the growing company’s increasing need for space. The contemporary building, designed by the Rosenheim architect Daniel Wagner, is characterised by materials such as anthracite concrete and larch wood elements.

In addition to a modern, open, loft-like office environment, the expanded capacities provide the perfect setting for training courses, events and creative work. The constructor’s commitment to his roots is particularly reflected in the design of the training area, with its solid walnut tables, pine ceiling and rustic oak floorboards all reminiscent of an alpine landscape. The spacious roof terrace with stunning views of the Alps offers employees and customers a place to relax and the freedom they need for fresh ideas. The 80-metre wooden bridge appears to hover in the air as a further spectacular feat of engineering. This is used as a showroom and creates a connection with the neighbouring commercial building, which houses several companies that specialise in ‘home living’.

The interior architecture expresses the entrepreneur’s need for solidarity and material quality – key traits of all BORA products. Pure materials such as exposed concrete and steel form impressive design highlights. The concept of sustainability also plays a major role in the building philosophy for the visionary master carpenter Willi Bruckbauer: “In constructing the new building, we have successfully built a plus-energy house, which produces more energy than it uses for heating and air conditioning. This reflects our great commitment to genuine sustainability, which we continually uphold and optimise with our products.”
